Is KidsCheck free to use?
Yes! Our Free plan includes up to 25 children, 1 classroom, and 1 admin user — perfect for small churches getting started. For larger ministries, our Pro plan ($49/month) and Enterprise plan ($149/month) offer expanded limits and advanced features.
Do you offer a free trial for paid plans?
Yes, all paid plans include a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. You can cancel at any time during the trial and won't be charged.
How does the check-in process work?
KidsCheck supports 4 check-in methods: Parent App (parents check in from their phone), Kiosk Mode (self-service tablet at your entrance), Teacher Check-in (teachers mark attendance in their classroom), and Admin Manual (staff check in children at the front desk). Each method generates a unique security code for safe checkout.
Is my church's data safe?
Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption (TLS/SSL), row-level security to isolate each church's data, role-based access control with 7 permission levels, and secure authentication. We're fully COPPA compliant for handling children's data. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Can parents access the system?
Yes! Parents can create their own accounts to view their children's check-in status in real-time, see classroom assignments, view lesson plans, and receive notifications. Parents only see their own children's information.
What devices does KidsCheck work on?
KidsCheck works on any device with a web browser — desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones. For kiosk mode, we recommend using a tablet (iPad or Android). No app installation is required.
How do I set up my church?
Getting started takes about 5 minutes. Sign up, complete the church setup wizard (name, address, service times, branding), invite your team members, and start adding children. Our step-by-step guide walks you through everything.
Can I manage multiple classrooms?
Yes! You can create and manage multiple classrooms with capacity limits, age ranges, and assigned teachers. The number of classrooms depends on your plan — Free (1), Pro (10), Enterprise (unlimited).
What reports are available?
KidsCheck provides attendance reports (daily trends, by classroom, by check-in method), classroom utilization (capacity vs. actual usage), volunteer coverage reports, and incident tracking. All reports support date filtering and CSV export.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind.
Do you offer discounts for churches?
Our pricing is already designed to be accessible for churches of all sizes. The Free plan serves small congregations at no cost, and our paid plans are priced well below competitors. Contact us for special arrangements for large multi-campus organizations.
